Aligning Your Heart and Mind: Prioritizing God’s Kingdom

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

— Matthew 6:33

What does it mean to seek God’s kingdom first? It means aligning our priorities with His. It’s choosing to focus on eternal things—faith, love, relationships—over temporary distractions.

When we prioritize God’s kingdom, everything else falls into place. This doesn’t mean life becomes easier, but it does become clearer. Our decisions, time, and resources align with what truly matters.

How to Prioritize God’s Kingdom

  1. Evaluate Your Priorities: Reflect on how you spend your time and energy.
  2. Put God First: Make time for prayer, worship, and scripture before anything else.
  3. Simplify: Let go of activities or commitments that don’t align with His purpose for you.

Introspection

  • What does seeking God’s kingdom look like in my daily life?
  • What distractions might I need to release to focus on eternal things?
  • How can I realign my priorities to reflect God’s will?

Daily Affirmation

"I seek God’s kingdom first, trusting that He will provide all I need as I walk in His purpose."
