Seasons of Growth: Facing Fear with Courage

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

— Joshua 1:9

Fear often shows up when we’re on the brink of growth. It whispers doubts, amplifies insecurities, and tempts us to stay where it feels safe. But courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s moving forward in spite of it, trusting that God goes before us.

Consider a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. The process is difficult, even painful, but necessary for the butterfly to spread its wings. Facing fear with courage is much the same. It’s a step of faith, trusting that what lies ahead is worth the risk.

How to Face Fear with Courage

  1. Name Your Fear: Acknowledge it instead of letting it control you.
  2. Pray for Strength: Ask God to give you the courage to step forward.
  3. Take Action: Fear loses its power when we move forward in faith.

Ask Yourself:

  • What fear is holding me back from growing?
  • How can I step forward in faith today?
  • What truth from God’s Word can I hold onto when fear arises?

An Invitation

Today, choose courage over fear. Trust that God is with you, giving you strength for every step of the journey.
