The Journey of Becoming: God's Strength in Your Weakness
But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
Weakness is something we all experience but rarely want to admit. Yet, God sees our weakness not as a flaw, but as an opportunity for His strength to shine through. It’s in our moments of struggle that His grace becomes most evident, reminding us that we don’t have to do it all on our own.
When I felt completely inadequate, unsure of how I could possibly face what was in front of me, I learned to stop striving and start surrendering. God’s grace met me where I was, carrying me when I couldn’t carry myself. Weakness isn’t something to be ashamed of—it’s an invitation to lean into God’s power.
Why God’s Strength Matters
- It reminds us of our dependence on Him.
- It allows us to experience His grace in profound ways.
- It gives us the courage to face challenges we can’t handle alone.
How to Embrace God’s Strength
- Acknowledge Your Weakness: Be honest with God about where you’re struggling.
- Surrender Control: Trust that His grace is enough to carry you through.
- Celebrate His Power: Recognize and give thanks for the ways His strength is evident in your life.
Ask Yourself:
- Where am I trying to rely on my own strength instead of God’s?
- How can I invite His power into my struggles?
- What would it look like to rest in His grace today?
An Invitation
Today, let go of the need to appear strong. Trust that God’s power is made perfect in your weakness, and let His grace carry you. In Him, you are more than enough.
