Through God's Eyes: Finding Your Identity in Christ

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Our identity is not defined by our past, our achievements, or the opinions of others. It is rooted in Christ. In Him, we are new creations—redeemed, restored, and set apart for His purposes.

When we ground our identity in Christ, we stop seeking validation from the world. We become free to live authentically, knowing that our worth isn’t tied to what we do but to whose we are.

How to Anchor Your Identity in Christ

  1. Reflect on Who God Says You Are: Meditate on verses that speak to your identity in Him.
  2. Let Go of False Labels: Release the labels or roles that no longer serve His purpose for you.
  3. Live in Alignment with His Truth: Make choices that reflect your God-given identity.

Introspection

  • What aspects of my identity have been shaped by the world instead of God?
  • How can I align my actions with who God says I am?
  • What would it look like to fully embrace my identity in Christ?

Daily Affirmation

"In Christ, I am a new creation. My worth is secure, and my identity is rooted in His love and truth."
